This Week in Downend (W/C 23rd November 2020)
This week in Downend, babies have been building upon their drawing skills, by gripping coloured pencils and drawing onto paper. Some children embraced the colder weather this week by exploring different shaped ice outside, brr! Back inside babies have been enjoying story time with their careers.
Kindergarten this week have shown lots of interest in construction! They had lots of fun creating funky structures such as big towers, where they build a domino effect. Other children explored their facial expression in the mirror and had a giggle with their friends! On Thursday Kindergarten celebrated Thanksgiving by telling their peers what they are thankful for, whilst creating their very own Turkey shaped clay ornaments.
This week in Pre-School they have been busy sharing each stories with their friends at circle time. The children joined a really fun “Room on the Broom” activity in the garden. They read the story together before creating their own star wands and potions using natural resources found all over Red Bus gardens! Some children used paint and chalk to draw shapes and numbers onto the floor to show their artistic skills to their friends (we loved that this made the garden bright and colourful).
