This Week in Downend (W/C 14th December 2020)

This week in Downend, Nursery have been having lots of Christmas fun. They started off outside pretending to make snowballs with cotton wool, and began to count how many they had, great work! The children also made some bird feeders where they threaded the food through pipe cleaners and hung them outside. To finish off the week the children made some Christmas pictures and cards for their loved ones and decorated them with lots of sparkly materials.

This week in Kindergarten the children are super excited for Christmas and have been busy doing lots of Christmas crafts. In the garden the children decorated the Christmas tree using Duplo blocks. They have also done lots of Christmas sticking and made Christmas cards, as well as enjoying lots of Christmas stories. Christmas aside they have also been speaking lots about different emotions and healthy eating.

This week Pre-School have been very festive. They decorated some paper gingerbread people using pompoms and lots of glitter! They also explored a winter themed tuff tray, which looked very exciting. To finish off their busy week the children made some bird feeders for the birds outside, using pipe cleaners and bird food. This week was also Christmas Dinner Day so the children made their very own Christmas hats ready for the occasion.
