This Week in Coombe Dingle (W/C 1st March 2021)
This week at Coombe Dingle our babies have spent lots of time playing outdoors! In the rooftop garden the babies got creative with paint brushes on the chalkboard, playing together to create big pictures. Some children explored musical instruments this week, discovering all the different ways they can make noise! In the art studio this week some children discovered painting with objects, using fruit to make marks on paper with paint!
Kindergarten this week have been getting stuck into a sensory tray! The children used their hands to move the coloured pasta into different bowls, and talked about how it felt – squishy, soft, cold! In the garden the children got active with hula-hoops. They listened and followed instructions on how to spin the hula-hoops and had lots of fun! Kindergarten have also been learning about animals. While playing with the animal toys, we talked about the noises and names of all the different animals!
Pre-School this week have been talking all about books! Some children made their own bookmarks for World Book Day and talked about their favourite books at home. Also to celebrate World Book Day, the children explored a multi-sensory tray based on the book ‘The Snail and The Whale’, playing with different textures and colours! Elsewhere in Pre-School the children went on an adventure in the garden to make a potion! Given a cup of water, the children went exploring for interesting pieces of nature to put in their cups!
