Nursery

This week in the nursery room we enjoyed the sunny weather! We went on a trip to the park where we played on the swings, slide and merry go round and even went on a little treasure hunt to see who could find leaves. When we found a leaf an adult said "crunch crunch crunch" and crunched the leaf. We tried this and laughed as we crunched the leaf too! Looking around for some more we wanted to go down the slides as quickly as we could. After all the fun on the equipment we sat down to have some yummy snack before going back to nursery.

During the week we have also explored the art room! We have taken part in some messy play activities. We played with a sea creature gloop tray to understand different textures and the different animals who live in the sea. At first we were unsure of the texture, but soon loved it.

We also have loved playing with the water world and sand land! We used our pouring and measuring skills to move the water from one jug to another whilst also using our spade to make a sandcastle.

To end the week we have been using our problem solving skills in our mathematics and construction area. We have been completing puzzles using different shapes and matching them to the pictures whilst learning about the different shapes there are.

Lastly we have also been using our imagination to make different varieties of train tracks to push our trains on. When the train track was completed we all shouted "choo choo"!

Kindergarten

In Kindergarten this week we have explored lots of lovely activities in the tuff trays! We started off by exploring with the water, jugs and funnels and spoke about all the different animals that live in water such as ducks, sharks and fish.

We can also use the trays to mark make in using different media. On the decking we used shaving foam to make a crazy pattern and then used cars to drive through it so they left different tyre marks.

With some of our junk modelling in the tray we worked on our fine motor skills to use the scissors to cut up the boxes. We also found glue and tape which we used to stick, fix and create lots of junk model masterpieces.

In the garden we like to try new things and challenge ourselves like climbing across the bridge, making sandcastles and using some of our resources to create a water wall. We enjoy of the process of working through how we are going to achieve our goal and working with our friends.

Back inside we got creative making something special for Father's Day. We enjoyed exploring with the paint, practising the colour names and looking at what happens when we mix the colours.

Pre-School

This week has been super fun!

We have been inside playing many games such as dog bingo, memory games and puzzles. Of course we've been out in the sandpit this week and we have made so many super sculptures. Water play has been popular this week we have been using the guttering to make water travel far.

We braved the ultra rain this week and raced around the garden. However, we have had a couple of good weather days which was most enjoyable. We have been playing doctors and dinosaurs in the cabin, of course our ice cream shops and bikes in the garden! To top the week off, we have enjoyed bug hunting and dancing. Well done Pre-School for a fabulous week!
