This week in Flax Bourton, we started by some us wrapping
up warm and heading to the local park! It was such fun going on big swing together, learning how to climb the steps to the slide with some help, then whizzing down the other side!
Back in the nursery room we been using our fine motor skills to sit and do puzzles, with some encouragement from the adults we moved each piece around until they slotted in - clapping ourselves afterwards to show how happy we were!
In the big nursery garden we been spending time in the mud kitchen, making lots yummy mud pies for a friends and adults - yum! We were running around to keep warm as it's been very cold
this week. We also checked what is growing in the pots around the garden - adults asked us what colours we could see. We replied "yellow" and "green!
This week in Kindergarten we have been getting in the festive spirit, and we created our own baubles! We carefully chose the colours that reminded us of Christmas, and then picked which bauble to decorate from a wide selection!
Some of us then enjoyed the great outdoors, where we practiced our super balancing skills on the balancing beam and then moved on to making a great big splash on the decking, where we washed the cars and trucks and made them as shiny as possible...They were sparkling!
This week in Pre-School we have had so much fun!
Inside Christmas has arrived and we've made so many crafts! We've made cards with glitter and even magic reindeer food. We've had snowy tuff trays and lots of festive painting!
On the decking we've been breaking ice in a tuff tray, making music and making play dough! Outside we have been working in our mud kitchen and cafes that have been dotted around during the cold mornings.
We have also been creating buildings with our loose parts area, and of course running races! To top the week off we have been doing a selection of dancing, from sticky kids to the Lion King soundtrack. Well done Pre-School for a lovely week!
