Nursery
This week in Nursery we have been spending lots of time outside in our garden! We played with playdough whilst using different shaped cutters, noticing what shapes we have made.
Elsewhere in the garden we used bubblewrap with rollders, we rolled across paper noticing the interesting pattern!
We have also been drawing their own bugs whilst copying each bug they can see. We have also been having squishy fun with the bubble foam, using their hands to feel the texture!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have enjoyed all sorts of activities. We used cars in the garden to make tracks in the sand, we used the magnets on the back of the cars to connect them together and make one big car.
Inside we practiced drawing different marks and letters with support of adults to work on our literacy skills. We used our great climbing skills on the climbing frame in Pre-School, holding onto the rope to help pull ourselves up! We also practiced with our emotions with stones, using mirrors to replicate the emotion in them!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we have been playing outside! We have been jumping on the ladybird mats, counting up the spots and practicing our numbers.
We've also been keeping an eye on our veg patch, giving it lots of water from the watering can. We discussed how the plants need sunshine and water to grow big.
We've also explored puzzles this week! We explored wooden puzzles together, as well as the ones on our interactive whiteboard. We talked about the differences in technology!
This week we also celebrated the 80th anniversary of VE day. We talked about the different celebrations and the meaning of the day, and listened to music such as Vera Lynn to celebrate!
