Nursery
This week in Nursery has been a warm one, so we have been keeping cool with lots of water and ice play. The ice melted so quickly in our hands, and was very cold to touch!
The children made shortbread this week, they mixed all of the ingredients together following the instructions from the adults being very careful to not add too much or too little!
This month's book is 'Dear Zoo!'. The children have enjoyed learning different animal sounds and opening the flaps on the book acting out which animal they could see.
Kindergarten
On Monday we celebrated National Wildlife Day by having a farm inspired tuff tray for the children to explore. We looked at which animals like to play in the mud and which animals play in the grass. We then demonstrated our best animal noises, and in the garden some children enjoyed sitting down and talking about them whilst playing with their peers.
Due to the lovely weather we have been having the children have spent a lot of time in the garden. They have been enjoying lots of water play, pouring the water in and out of different trays. We have had many different colours of water which the children have enjoyed seeing every day. Kindergarten has loved going to Pre-School garden where they have been using the climbing frame and all of the bikes that are in both gardens.
Pre-School
This week Pre-School have been exploring the garden looking for animals - we found some worms and were very gentle holding them for a quick second before putting them back safety.
Outside the children have been enjoying lots of water play, keeping cool whilst the weather is so hot.
