Nursery
This week Nursery have been making some rice paper food with different vegetables such as cucumber, tomato and peppers! The children were using the knife safely with help from Megan. The children were super helpful and some of us even tried it. Yum!
We also enjoyed lots of painting in the art room where we used different art utensils such as rollers, paint brushes, and sponges. We dabbed it into the paint and created a wonderful picture for our art room display!
We have loved the fishes in the tube and watching them float and change colours again. We have been reading lot of books this week inside and outside.
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten the children were busy bees playing in the construction area where they built big towers and lots of sandcastles. Since Autumn has arrived we've had few tuff trays with autumnal leaves, the children enjoyed hearing the loud crunches! The children have enjoyed listening to our core story book called "The Tiger Who Came To Tea" with such concentration.
In the garden, we have loved seeing them play with lots of water play using different types of water tools and jumping in puddles, how fun!
In addition, lots of our friends have been recreating the Colour Monster emotions where they spoke about how they're feeling. It's been lovely seeing such big smiles this week. We have welcomed new starters and we all look forward to our fun Kindergarten journey together!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School we noticed the weather is changing! There has been sunshine, rain, wind - lots to look at, so we made our own binoculars! We stood by the windows to try them out, pointing out to the adults what we could see when we looked through.
In the Art Studio we had some new rollers arrive, so we tried them out! We explored how to press them into paint and use a to and fro motion, back and forth across the paper to make amazing patterns!
We also got stuck into a sensory small world tray! We explored our little 'farm' with toy animals, crunchy cereal and of course - lots of lovely, squelchy mud!
