Nursery
This week in Nursery we have been cooking! We followed the instructions to mix the ingredients together in a large bowl. We then used a rolling pin to roll out the dough flat, then used shape cutters to cut out our shortbread biscuits - yum!
We have been spending lots of time outside in the lovely warm weather, with lots of water play to keep us cool. We explored filling and emptying the jugs and containers, as well as filling up tubes - and having a good splash about as well!
We also enjoyed our shady book shed, exploring books with friends. We enjoyed turning the pages and pointing at all the different objects we could see!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have spent lots of time in the garden enjoying lots of different activities!
We had a nature themed tuff tray with lots of flowers and leaves where we looked for creepy crawlies and made different mucky dinners using the mud.
We also made dinner with colourful spaghetti, we used spoons and different pots and pans to transfer the spaghetti to different places.
We have also been balancing and jumping onto different coloured steps. We have had lots of fun playing in the sand tray with the diggers, this helps to develop our fine motor skills as we have to do delicate movements!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School have spent lots of time in our new role play area, decked out as a bakery! This has given us so many different play opportunities. We have been taking on the role of baker and customer, creating narratives together. We have been writing our shopping lists, sharing with the adults what things we normally buy! We have also been looking closely at the bread on display.
This term's Core Book is 'Love Makes a Family' and we all had a chance to share and celebrate our families! We know that other families can look different from ours, but the story tells us that what makes them all the same is love. We have been drawing our families and sharing why we love them, and then put our pictures up on the wall!
