Nursery
This week Nursery have been exploring our own tastes and preferences with a fruit tasting activity! We explored strawberries, raspberries, pineapple and kiwi. The younger amongst us had it mashed down, whereas the older children were encouraged to pick out the fruits they wanted into the bowl.
This week we've been exploring our Core Book, 'The Three Little Pigs'. We sat in the garden and looked through the book with our adults. We then played with the finger puppets!
We have spent lots of time outside soaking up the sunshine, we have been looking through our bright viewers to see the world through a different colour! We also explored the different textures, from the soft grass to the sand.
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have had lots of fun in the sunny top garden! We particularly enjoyed the mud kitchen, using the measuring scoops and pans to scoop up the bark. We told our adults we were 'making cakes'!
We've been exploring our Core Book 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'! We used the story props, holding these up when the character appeared in the story. We talked about Goldilocks eating porridge for breakfast, and what we all like to eat for breakfast at home.
In the shady lower gardens we explored painting onto clingfilm! We held the paintbrushes confidently and dabbed them onto the surface, watching how the colours mixed together!
Pre-School
This week Pre-School we went out in the beautiful sunshine and played parachute games! We sang the umbrella song and pretended the parachute was our umbrella, shaking it for thunder and lightning then climbed underneath singing "rain rain, go away!"
Anouska brought in some of her musical instruments for us to look at, she explained each one and we counted how many strings each of them had. We even got to have a little play ourselves!
We've been carrying on our discussion about marathons, after the London marathon! We looked at medals, the different colours and what they represent. We then got creative and made your own medal. We started off by cutting around a circle and then choosing either gold, silver or bronze which we painted on and added some shinny or sparkly bits.
