This week in Nursery, some of us joined our older siblings in the Red Bus Library! It was a lovely surprise, we have each other lots of cuddles and then explored the different books and story puppets together.
Upstairs, the construction area has been ever so busy! We made sure to put on our hard hats and high viz jackets, and worked together to build a massive house with the foam blocks.
We have also been exploring the musical instruments, experimenting with making our very own music and sounds! We used the bongos, xylophones and the chimes, trying out making a variety of loud and quiet noises.
This week in Kindergarten we enjoyed some messy play with different foods! We used our hands to explore the different textures, using our words to describe what we could feel.
We've also spent lots of time outside in the garden! We had a go at riding the bikes, and collected the leaves that had fallen from the trees.
In the top garden some of us tried a yoga activity! We had fun copying Amy and trying out all the different yoga positions, developing our balance and coordination!
This week in Pre-School we have been exploring our sense of touch with a playdough activity! We used toy animals to make footprints in the dough, counting up how many marks we had left.
In the garden we noticed our herbs are growing in the patch! We carefully picked some, taking them inside to mix with foam in a sensory activity. We scooped up handfuls of the mixture and gave it a sniff, telling the adults what we could smell!
Some of us have been exploring the story sacks this week! We really enjoyed the one based around The Hungry Caterpillar, reading through the story and exploring the prop food as we went!
