Nursery
This week Nursery we have been working hard at the Red Bus car wash! Our toy trucks and cars had fallen into the mud - so we moved them to the clean bubbly water and cleaned them up with cloths.
We have also been creative and worked on our gross motor skills with a rolling activity! We had a tray filled with paint and the textured balls, we tipped and twirled the tray around to make the balls roll and make marks on the paper. We also got stuck in with our hands to move them around too!
Out in the sunshine we have been exploring Sand Land! There were lots of different shells hiding, we picked them up and showed them to our adults. We also used magnifying glasses to look at the shells close up!
Kindergarten
This week in Kindergarten we have had a splashing good time with the water tray! We incorporated the plastic balls, throwing them in to create lots of ripples and splashes. We also thought it was funny to splash our adults - what a great way to cool down!
In the Pre-School alleyway we have been exploring chalk as a way to make marks! At first we used the blackboard to experiment with different lines, shapes and patterns. Sophie then encouraged us to try drawing on the floor too, we used our whole bodies to stretch and create!
Back inside we got stuck into a sensory messy tray. We used sticks and brushes to scoop the squishy foam into cups. We told the adults we were making 'cups of tea'!
Pre-School
This week in Pre-School, the children have been doing some yoga exercises using the medi teddy book! We talked about all the different yoga poses we can do and talked about what makes us feel happy and calm.
We have also done some lovely creations in our art studio this week using different materials including pipe cleaners, pom poms, honeycomb paper and paint, we experimented in colour mixing too!
This week was national Bee day, so we made some bees using lots of different yellow materials and practiced having good control while using scissors. We displayed these outside for all the bees to see!
