Provided by Red Bus

You shouldn’t have to worry about gathering together a bagful of items of every morning. Red Bus lets you focus your attention on the most important aspect  – your child.

At Red Bus there are no hidden extras. Your child’s meals, formula milks, nappies and wipes are all included in the fees you pay. Any additional sessions you request for your child are entirely optional, so you only pay for the one you want.

*Not included with Funded sessions

To request our fees please ‘Make an Enquiry’ and the Nursery you wish to know more about will contact you directly.

There are many ways to assist with paying for childcare such as childcare vouchers, tax credits and the government nursery grant.

At Red Bus we offer two free settling in sessions apart of the registration process. These are both two hours in duration and allows the child to settle in comfortably and at their own pace. The parents are requested the stay the first settle session & are encouraged to leave during the second settle if they feel comfortable with doing so.

We also do discounts for full time places and siblings to ensure you have the best value for money possible.

Children are required to be registered for a minimum of 2 sessions per week

Funded Children - Limited term time only spaces

Red Bus are closely aligned to local authority school term dates, however they may not be the same. This is because we have to work with how the local authority pays Red Bus for funded hours. There are only slight differences so please ensure you read the term dates carefully as your child is registered for attendance on these dates only. Where you wish your child to attend outside of these dates our normal charges apply.

15 Hours - Universal Funding

This information below is generic as our Nurseries are under different Councils.

Your child is entitled up to 15 hours funding the term after their second (*see below*) or third birthday. Their birthday must fall before the cut-off date in order to receive the funding for the following term. These sessions are funded by the Local Authority and are known as the ‘Free Early Education Entitlement’ (FEEE). Parents/Carers apply for the entitlement on a termly basis via the nursery.

These dates are:

– 31st August for the September – December term

– 31st December for the January – April term

– 31st March for the May-August term

Each child is entitled to 15 hours per week term time only or up to 12 hours per week all year round. To discuss your options for the using the entitlements please speak to your child’s individual nursery.

If your child is eligible for the grant, speak to the Manager to provide you with the information required.

*Two year olds may qualify for funding if their parents/carers meet certain criteria (please see details on the Local Authority website). There is an application process which must be approved by the Local Authority before funding can be given by Red Bus*

30 Hours - Extended Funding

Extended funding is the additional funding that is allocated to eligible 3 and 4 year olds and became available from 1st September 2017.

Where parents are eligible for extended funding, Red Bus offers 23 hours per week stretched over our year or 30 hours per week on a term time only basis where offered. Both options give a child 1140 funded hours per year if all sessions are attended.

The child must have a valid code and cannot be in their grace period at the end of the term before and when they start at a setting. Parents can apply from when their child is 2 years and 36 weeks old.

Parents can apply outside of these recommended dates but they might not receive their code in time or may have to reconfirm before the child starts as the code has expired.
