Quality Standards

At Red Bus Nursery & Pre-School we will always strive towards excellence in all areas and constantly reflecting and evaluating on both practice and provision. As an Oftsed registered setting, we are bound by a strict set of standards, for which we are inspected against. You have our assurance we will always adhere to and uphold the legal welfare requirements contained within the Early Years Foundation Stage. Every child really does matter to us at Red Bus Nursery & Pre School.

However, as an aside to the legalities that we are bound by, you have further assurance that your child is receiving a very high standard of childcare. We are committed to deliver over and above the ‘requirements’ in every area of the practice and we achieve this by doing a number of things. We involve parents and carers, staff and other childcare professionals within our setting. This ensures we deliver a truly transparent service, where everyone has a voice, which ultimately drives our continuous improvement of the setting to become an outstanding place for your child to learn and develop.

As a parent you will have complete confidence in choosing Red Bus Nursery & Pre School for your child, where we are sure you will also feel fully supported and inspired to join in. We are positive supporters of local quality standards including “The Bristol Standard”. We are also a member of the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA).

Bristol City Council

The Bristol Standard

Bristol City Council have their own recognised standard. To qualify for the Bristol Standard, organisations have to set out their strengths, work out what they want to improve and think through how this will benefit the children they care for. The process is one of continuous improvement, designed to help places where children learn, play and are looked after to identify what they do best and how they want to develop and improve. Red Bus Nursery & Pre-School are committed to attaining this standard.
