This Week in Downend (W/C 31st August 2020)
This week in Downend, babies have been welcoming back lots of their friends and greeting new children. The babies have been enjoying sensory play this week, using the musical instruments, problem solving using the abacus and reading lots of stories. Some of our little babies even built up their confidence and balance by walking! Great work!
Kindergarten this week have been exploring some new equipment and resources. They have been investigating their brand new role play kitchen, including delicious new toy food! Some children went on a bug hunt in the garden and put them into the bug hotel. A staff member brought in their guitar this week – the children all joined in singing nursery rhymes.
Pre-School have been busy creating masks and goggles using magnetics! Some children have been working on their fine motor skills by using the scissors to cut shapes out of paper and drawing their favourite things. Outside the children had lots of fun popping the bubbles in the sun!
