This Week in Coombe Dingle (W/C 27th July 2020)
This week at Coombe Dingle, babies have been exploring lots of different books! Some children have chosen to read through them independently, whilst others have been enjoying a story with the staff. Out in the rooftop garden sunshine babies have been investigating the different lock boxes, examining each piece and discovering which shapes match the correct box!
Kindergarten have also been enjoying the sunshine too, spending lots of time in the garden. The children worked together to play lots of different parachute games, and had lots of fun doing it! Back inside the children read the book ‘Norman’s New Shell’ and chose to make their own paper plate snails. The children decorated their shells with lots of beautiful marks, feathers and sequins!
This week Pre-School have been talking about recycling, after reading a book about a refuse collector. The children talked about what we can recycle, how to separate each item into different categories, and how recycling helps the planet! Outside in the garden some children have been painting with natural resources, using leaves and twigs to make marks onto paper. The children focused really well and made some beautiful designs!
