This Week in Coombe Dingle (W/C 24th August 2020)
This week at Coombe Dingle, the babies have been exploring mouldable foam! The children explored the exciting new texture – squishing it in their hands, and using tools to leave impressions in the foam and shape it. Nursery have also been mark making this week, using toy vehicles to move paint around on the paper and make lots of different shapes and lines!
Kindergarten this week have had lots of fun in the garden, taking part in lots of physical activities. The children listened really well to the staff as they followed instructions on how to jump through the hoops, running across the grass and stomping like dinosaurs! Back inside some children have been exploring the magnetic letters. The children developed their letter recognition, seeing if they could spot letters from their own names!
This week Pre-School excitedly explored a big pile of shredded paper. The children worked together to move through the paper, throwing it up in big clouds and role playing with the ‘snow! Pre-School have also spent lots of time taking part in phonics activities this week. Some children played a rhyming game, looking at the different cards and seeing if they can pair the matching sounds together!
