This Week in Coombe Dingle (W/C 20th July 2020)
This week at Coombe Dingle, Babies have been looking at all the ways they can make marks! Some children have been exploring stamps, pressing them carefully in paint then onto paper and looking at the different shapes they can make. Other babies used a more unusual mark making tool this week, exploring how duplo bricks can make lots of different patterns! Babies have also enjoyed the sunshine in the rooftop garden this week, taking out lots of puzzles and jigsaws to explore and complete.
Kindergarten this week have been exploring a farmyard sensory tray. The children focused really well, role playing with the small world animals and barn and moving them through the sawdust! Kindergarten have also been developing their letter recognition next week, exploring a tray of water filled with magnetic letters. The children tried fishing out the letters and naming them as they did, great work!
This week Pre-School have been a great team, working together to build a kite to play with! The children helped the staff create the shape and attach the string, and had great fun making it fly high in the garden. Pre-School have also been creative with sticklebricks, pushing the pieces together to make different homes for animals. The children talked about where animals liked to live, and used their amazing imaginations to build farms, kennels and dens!
