This Week in Coombe Dingle (W/C 15th June 2020)
This week at Coombe Dingle, the babies have been discovering duplo! The children have been learning how to make tall towers, and working out how the pieces can fit together. Babies have also spent lots of time looking at books this week, both sharing stories with peers as well as independent choosing books to explore!
Kindergarten have been blasting off to space this week, creating their own collage rockets! The children chose from lots of different resources – glitter, tissue paper, sequins – and carefully glued them to their rockets to make beautiful artwork. Kindergarten have also explored the sensory bottles this week, taking each one and looking at its contents. They discovered what happens when you shake the bottles…sometimes it’s loud and rattles, sometimes it’s quiet and soft!
Pre-School have been talking about the people we love this week, and all the things that make them special. Some children decorated beautiful signs to give to their loved ones! Outside in the garden Pre-School have been really active, taking part in some running games – the children carefully jumped into each hoop all the way to the end of the garden, so fast!
