This Week in Coombe Dingle (W/C 13th July 2020)
This week at Coombe Dingle, the babies made a cardboard box car! The children worked together using bright neon paints to decorate the car lots of different colours, using brushes and their hands. Some children have been exploring the musical instruments this week, discovering how hitting different keys can produce various sounds and using percussive instruments to make lots of noise!
Kindergarten this week have been learning all about shapes! The children looked carefully at the different plastic pieces and tried to match them to their outlines on the floor. Kindergarten focussed really well on this, and talked about how many corners and sides different shapes have! Some children have been getting really active this week, following instructions to jump, hop, and stretch – good listening Kindergarten!
Pre-School have been learning all about insects and creepy crawlies this week! They looked at pictures and videos of some spiders, and even made their own web across the garden door – discovering how sticky they can be, trapping buttons and pom poms in it. In the top garden Pre-School went on a number hunt, searching high and low for the plastic fish with lots of numbers on! When the children discovered them they looked at which number they had found, and kept going until they had discovered them all!
