Nursery
This week in Nursery we have been exploring colourful rainbow rice! There was different coloured playdough in the tray next to the rice, and we have been learning the different colours by matching them together. We explored red, pink, purple, yellow, orange, blue, green...we enjoyed feeling the different textures of the playdough and the rice in our hands!
We've been interested in technology this week, taking photos of ourselves on the iPads! We recognised our faces and gave great big smiles, sharing with our friends too.
Outside on the rooftop garden we have been exploring sea animals in the water! We used magnifying glasses to help us see the animals closer.
Kindergarten
We loved celebrating Easter by inviting our families in for an afternoon of Easter Craft activities! We made our own cards to gift to our loved ones, hunted for eggs in the groovy purple sand and even created our own Easter bunny and chick masks! We enjoyed rescuing chicks from the shredded paper, carefully picking them out with tweezers and we really got into the Easter spirit with pastel coloured playdough and seasonal cutters.
Elsewhere in Kindergarten this week, we’ve been enjoying role play. We’ve taken on lots of different roles - from hairdressers underneath the HABA Unit to Grocery Shop workers in the garden! We learned about different jobs we could do when we’re older and talked about the jobs our Mummies and Daddies do.
The fun this week included lots of sensory play. We loved the beautiful glittery and sequin filled water in the tuff tray and enjoyed pouring, squirting and squeezing with all the utensils. We took an interest in feeling our sensory circles and took our time to feel each one and describe the different textures, colours and densities!
