The Government is committed to enabling all 3 and 4 year olds to access their entitlement to free early years education. They are funding for all 3 and 4 year olds to attend a registered early years setting for a maximum of 15 hours per week during school term times (or spreading a smaller number of hours per week over the year).
There are a number of conditions attached to the entitlement:
- The free hours must be spread over a minimum of 3 days and no more than 6 hours per day can be taken across no less than 38 weeks per year.
- Every child is entitled to this from the term after their third birthday until they start school.
- Terms are split into three academic periods, September to December, January to March and April to August.
Red Bus Nursery & Pre-School is registered with Bristol City Council (BCC) as a provider able to offer the FEEE. Bristol City Council (BCC) pay Red Bus Nursery & Pre-School directly for the entitlement hours.
There is no requirement to pay any kind of fees to the setting unless you wish to take additional services/hours. Additional services include meals (you may provide a packed lunch if you prefer) and additional hours over above the FEEE where charges will apply.
For details of these charges please speak directly to the Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager.
