Ofsted report

Please find attached below our latest Ofsted report which was actioned on 13th August 2015

We were assessed across a number of different areas as follows;

  • How well the early year’s provision meets the needs of children who attend.
  • The contribution of the early years provision to the well-being of children
  • The effectiveness of the leadership and management of the early year’s provision.

We were rated consistently “Good” in all areas and we are happy to use this report to reflect and develop our shared vision to provide the BEST for all children at Red Bus.

We would like to thank the Ofsted Inspector, Julie Bright, the Nursery Management Team, all the Staff at Coombe Dingle and the parents who were involved in the inspection, for enabling it to be such a positive process.

Julie remarked “Children are clearly happy and have positive approaches to new experiences and form secure attachments with their key person, developing a sense of belonging, they enjoy the varied activities that are integrated into their routine. They are well behaved, communicative and confident”.

She observed “Staff actively working with parents to ensure children receive good and consistent care”.

Julie also spoke with parents and commented that “Parents say they feel very well informed about their children’s progress and are involved in their learning”.

Julie also felt we had good links with external agencies and this enabled staff to gain the support individual children need to help them to make good developmental progress from their starting points.

Furthermore, we talked to Julie about our journey so far and received excellent feedback of our achievements to date, and confirmation that the steps we are already taking will help us to achieve the coveted Ofsted status of ‘Outstanding’ in the future. We are very excited about this feedback, confirmation that we are striving for the best for our children.
